Browser Tips for Netscape and Internet Explorer

Text too large or too small?

If this text appears too small or too large on your screen, select view from your browser menu, select text size and click larger or smaller until text size is comfortable and the windows fit in your screen.

Don't have a huge Monitor?

Even if you do this site is best viewed with the largest viewing area that is possible. To gain vertical space you can collapse the menu bars on your browser. If you do this your back button and your refresh/reload button will still be visable. You can also gain horizontal space by closing the left side bars.

Do the following with Netscape or Internet Explorer:

1. To gain vertical space:
For Netscape and Explorer click the triangle on the upper left margin of the top button bars and the top menu bar will disappear. Click it again and it will re-appear. Your back and reload buttons will still be visable.

2. To gain horizontal space:
For Netscape click the center button on the left margin of your viewing area to collapse or open the side bar. Click it again and it will re-apper. You can also drag it by clicking on the margin and, holding down your mouse button, drag to right or left.
For Internet Explorer click on any of the tabs on the left margin to open or close. Click on that same tab to do the opposite.

3.To gain vertical space yet still have the top button bar appear you can set the browsers toolbar to text only (no icons):
For Netscape click on the edit menu and select preferences, then select text only under 'show toolbar as'.
For Internet Explorer click on the edit menu and select preferences, then select browser display, then select text only under 'toolbar settings' and 'toolbar style'.

Get the most from your Monitor

Setting your monitor to it's highest available resolution and color depth will enhance the viewing of this and all websites. This can be accomplished via your control panel under monitors/display.

Last but not Least...navigating this website

The catalog portion of this website contains a ton of images and quite a few pages. There isn't a 'shopping cart' to help you sort through or edit your favorite pieces. If you are browsing I assume it won't irritate you, but if you are shopping it could become cumbersome. I recommend that you have pen and paper handy to note the name/number and page number of your favorites so you can more easily narrow down your choices. Any feedback on your browsing experience (positive or negative) and the layout of this website would be appreciated. Thanks for visiting!
